I have been in the educational industry since last two decades. My developed attachment towards kids is evident that I enjoyed my job more than anything. Being a private school teacher I often understood how demanding education can be to the students. While there are are some students who clearly outshine others, there are some who manage to perform average. However, I used to feel especially drawn to the kids who face difficulties in studying or performing any studies related activity.
Parents often complain to me that their kids, especially below the age of 10, are not putting as many efforts as much as they should and hence they are lagging behind. Most of them faced issues in reading as per the expectation which they were not able to fulfil. My career span has witnessed so many such cases.
Recently, I read an article about kids facing difficulties in reading and that intrigued me. I researched a little more over the internet and I learned that every kid in the school had a preferred learning model. My research took me to understand what are components of the best phonics program. I researched more about the way phonics for kids can be made more easier.

A systematic approach - Is the program systematic? The program should be based on a systematic approach. Languages are vast hence it is always better if the program is based on the frequency with which the phonemes linguistically occur in the language. This implies the kid won’t learn any other phonetic sound until he or she clears the first one.
Is the manner chosen progressive? - Watch out carefully and observe.the foundation of the reading is based on identifying the shapes and then knowing the name of the letter followed by its sounds. Is the arrangement of your program correct? Is the emphasis is given correctly on shape, name and then sound?
These are the two basic qualities of a program that emphasises on teaching kids how to read.
